Fruitful Day

Most of the time today was with pix. Met her after her hair cut. Had lunch with her, went for a movie with her, "Just my luck". After the movie went to shop for pressie for michelle as her bdae chalet is next saturday. After which we sat down to plan for the Christmas Evangelica Event. We manage to come out with a rough idea how the musical will be like. So at least we accomplished something.

Went to Tampines Int to take bus 72 to church, who knows while walking there, we saw a big rabbie-toothed shark with eyes popping out, staring at us. haha. just joking chari. Then the ppl so so not considerate. Those in line was cut by those who didnt queue up, since the queue was very long, when the bus was almost full, those who queued up stop then those who did not queue went up. so my and pix not happy quickly get out of the queue to try to squeeze up the bus as we are almost late for music practise.

Music practise was very good today. Manage to plan out how we are going to play this sunday. At first i tot that I have lost the right motivation to play in the music team. But think I have found it back, knowing that it's God who I'm playing for. Really sorry for my music team, for what happened last week. My apologize to everyone.. Tomorrow will be an exciting we are invited to the world cup telecast at PS, cos its belle who organize it. She promised to reserve good seats for us. Hope she manage to. Tmr is a big match, Germany vs Argentina!! WHO WILL WIN?? haha i dun really care.. as long as ENGLAND can win porgtugal... haha i'll stop blogging here then. bye!!

Unreasonable and brainless..

Have u ever tried being sick, and yet cant visit the clinic near by? That is what I'm going to experience for the next 1 year. If I am sick, I'll have to travel all the way to Choa Chu Kang to see doctor. From Bedok to Choa Chu Kang, isn't that ridiculous???!!! Won't that make you even more sick when you are already sick? The traveling time itself is enough to kill me.

Another stupid rule they have is that if you have MC for more than 3 days, you have to go back to endorse it. But they also have another rule saying no going out of house if you have MC. Do you find this 2 sentences very contradicting?? In 1 way you cant go out, in another you have to travel back camp to endorse? Oh come on, NSF are also humans, even if we are the lowest of the ranks.

Had a wisdom tooth extracted today. Suppose to undergo general anaesthesia, but due to the extra the SAF have to pay, and the longer operation time, I've decided to change it to local instead. The opeartion was a scary one. The doctor almost start operating when the anaesthesia has not take its effect. Just pray that I do not have to undergo any operation anymore.

tire, tired, tiring, tires

Thanks for all the encouragement, but am getting really tired lately. No time to blog.. World Cup season is up, suffered with sleepless nights. Guess I should really stop all these before I fall sick.

Super busy at work, did int and ext despatch for 3 days in a row.. Super shag ah.. walk until leg got blisters, thigh got abrasion. So many things to do, and so little time to rest.

As usual for weekends, fom and church. But something extra this week, had a 6km walk-a-jog to run. Had stomache halfway through the run, but manage to complete it though. Took me about 40 mins to finish it. haha. when i reach the finishing point, I ran straight to the toilet..

Had music practise on sunday after service, sorry all for the temper and attitude that i've shown. Watched movie with chen, justin, amos, pix and edwin after that.. until now, i just know that it is a robin william show, do not know what the movie title is. haha, before the movie, justin when to buy gummy sweets. guess that is his first time buying, he took so much that he ended up paying 11.40 for the gummies. haha..

what a tiring week for me..

Reliving those days..

Last weekend was the best I've ever had. I was greatly refreshed in God's words and I had so much fun with the guys. I was refreshed on how I should treat God's words and weekly bible studies and service. I should not take them as a weekly routine cos every week I will be listening and learning new things. Learnt how to decide if a church is good. Its not the size of the church, its appearance, the music they play, etc.. The one and only thing is whether God's words is being fed. What is being preached, are they according to the bible or according to our desires and needs.

After bible studies, we always have some game sessions over at Helping Hand. Was looking forward to it as we introduced soccer to the fom last week and some of the girls actually joined us in the game. Was looking forward to it cos I wanna see how Wai plays. But the weather is not on our side. It started to pour chickens and ducks when we played half way. The best thing was we continued to play. I really relived those days when I used to play soccer in the rain. So much fun!! Hope to have another game with Wai when the weather is better.

After the game we went to justin's place to watch soccer. Chelsea beat ManU!!! Liverpool won 3-1!!! Gerrard scored 2 goals!!! Liverpool are on par with ManU on score!! There's a chance for 2nd place for Liverpool!! haha.. what a night it was, we wanted to order mac delivery, waited for so long to get thru the line, in the end we couldn't order as the delivery system had some problem. Tried calling pizza hut, but had the same problem. We sang karaoke till quite late. But we slept before 3 so as to be able to concentrate in church tmr.

After service, we had spring cleaning.. Was so sad lor.. climbed up so high to clean the super dusty window and blinds. It was really super dusty, the dusty are like so so super mega hyper ultra thick. Was having fever and still doing all these, yet got this girl named SARA, she asked me to mop the floor, saying since I never do anything!!!! After church we went to pixie house! Amos cooked bakeed rice. HAHA.. Pix cooked rice without adding water. The baked rice was nice but the chicken was not really cook and was too salty. Thank you pix for your hospitality! After which we went to meet chen and justin at orchard. Walked around and in the end we decided to stay overnight at justin's place again. We sang karaoke and watched dvd. Had so much fun. Cant wait for next weekend. Weekends ROCKS!!

To: God

I hate Richmond, I hate myself. I am a sinner against God. I keep sinning the same sin. You had forgiven me once and once again, but I keep sinning against you over and over again. Help me overcome this sin, help me repent. I am really sorry for all the wrongs that I have done. I know I don't derserve your forgiveness, but you are a loving and merficul God. On account on Jesus's death on the cross, forgive me and cleanse me Lord.

Lord, help me to refocus my life to you, start afresh with me. Help me put you in the center of everything. Help me overcome all temptations. Help me go through every trial. Teach me how not to be greedy, not to lust, not to be boastful, not to be self-centered, Teach me how to live a life worthy of you, teach me how to love others more than myself, teach me to be generous, humble and others-centered. Change me totally, make me pure. Guide me in everything I do, guide me to be like your son, Jesus. Lord I pray for your healing hand to be upon me. Heal me from all my sickness and bless my health. Use me as a humble servant, in every way that you can.

Lord I thank you for being who you are, a loving and merciful God. A God who keeps his promise, a God who wants us to repent. Thank you for giving me this chance to know you, to be reconciled with you. Thank you Lord, for everthing you have given me. Thank you for reading my prayer. All this I cry out in the name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Life's like a rollercoaster

Life is never straight and smooth, its never easy. In fact, life is like a rollercoaster, there will be ups and downs. People tend to misunderstand Christianity, they think that when you've accepted Christ as Lord and Savior, life will be smooth and easy going. Everything will be perfect, just as you've always want. But the truth is that God has never promise us that. In 1Peter verses 6 to 9, Jesus said that we will face trials in our lifes.

6In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

1Peter 1:6-9

The bottomline of all this trials and downs is faith, the faith we have in Jesus. It is to test our faith in Jesus, since we have not seen him, we love him. And even though we can't see him now, we still believe in Him. Thats the kind of faith that me and you should have. No matter what situation you are in, you can always reach out to God, as he had reached out to us first. God will never leave us alone and don't care about us. If He puts you into a trial, He will always be with you through the whole process. Though sometimes we just can't see what he had planned for us, we just can't feel his presence, we feel that God has ignore us and left us all alone to handle the problem alone. You are wrong! ABSOLUTELY WRONG! God love us so much that while we were still his enemies, he send his only Son down to die for us. This is one thing we can always give thanks for, no matter our life is up or down. We should be thankful that Jesus had rescued us from God's wrath and judgement.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Psalm 150:6

Busy busy week

Been quite busy this week. Busy resting, busy contacting the drum teacher to arrange the drum lessons, busy creating the publicity card and have neglected God. Haiz. How many of us really spend time daily doing quiet time. How many of us really talk to God everyday? Or do we just cry out to Him when we need Him. Thats definitely not the right way we should respond to God's agape love for us. I admit that I am one of those who fall into the above category of not doing QT time consistently. Like to urge every believers to start slowly. Spend some time with God everyday, slowly making it a habit to read God's word. Only then, can we know more about Christ and behave more like Him.

Was quite sad this week, busy designing the publicity card, created a map and tried to make everything nicer and finalizing everything. Finally completed it, exported the file into an image and sent to all the youths in my church. After sending, I happily closed my editing program, without saving the working file!! Now I have to redo everything if there are any changes and there are changes to be made. Haiz..

Went for the light treatment today, for my rash. Everything is seems so scary. Went into a small chamber full of long light bulbs. Got to strip till almost naked and stand inside. It's so small that I'm afraid that the bulbs will just explode and I will die inside, or that the bulb will produce heat so hot that I can't take it. Who knows everything is just so fast and simple. Theres even a voice to quite me through it. :) Thank God that everything went well for the first treatment.

Another thing to haiz about is that tmr is going back to faraway land day. I got to go back to that far far far camp of mine. Its so far away LOR!! takes me about 2 hours to reach there. Worst still if I'm late, late means can't go in by side gate, but main gate, which I have to walk about 20 mins reach my squadron.

Talked to Andrew the other night. Was pretty glad to know that the youths and the guys are getting much closer now. Justin even came on saturday!! Was motivated to hear that. Being one of the older guy, I really want to bring the guys and the whole youth group closer. Will try to arrange more outings to interact and encourage each other more.

Like to thank God for the whole church, for the care and concern and also their prayers for me. Everyone has been very caring, and I'm greatly touched by their love. May all of us continue to grow in love for one another, continue to spur each other and also to grow in christ. Amen!

Praise to God for a Living Hope

Attended this workshop organised by Project Timothy on Monday evening. Was greatly encouraged by it. We touched on the first book of Peter. In verse 3 - 4, we can see Paul praising God. God had given us new birth, new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. God has also given us an inheritance. One that can never perish, spoil or fade. One that is indestructible, kept in heaven for us. We can rejoice in all these, though we have to face grief in all kinds of trials. All these trials are here to test us, to test our faith in Jesus. For by having faith in Him, we are recieving salvation of our souls.

Glory is ours..

Today is the 12th consecuetive day I have not gone back to report for ns. Have been on mc. Guess I'll go see a doctor tmr, as I am still feeling sick. Skin condition is getting a bit better, but the itch at night is still there. Thanks for all those who cared and prayed for me! Think that I'll be going over for bible studies tonight. Have been missing out quite alot due to my problems.

----------------------------------------

To all initial d anime fans out there, if you still do not know, Initial D stage 4 eps 23 & 24 are out!! Was quite sad on how Takumi won the "God of hand", even though he still won. The saddest thing is that eps 24 is the last eps for stage 4!! So got to wait for a long long time before stage 5 comes out. Not even sure if there will be a stage 5.

----------------------------------------

Thanks sis for the encouraging verses from Romans 8, am greatly encouraged after reading it. Indeed at verse 18 to 27; talking about our future glory. That our present sufferings are not wortk comparing with the glory that will be revealed to us. Thanks you Lord, for the Spirit that you had sealed in us. That always helps us in our weakness. God had predestined those He had called, those he called, he also justified, those he justified he also glorified. Our God is a loving, graceful and merciful God. He himself is love. He loves us so much that when we were still His enemies, He sent his only Son down to die for us. This is how God had shown His love to us.

From verse 38 to 39; "I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, neither anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. " It really encourages me to know that nothing in this world can separate us from the love of God. THANK YOU GOD! Fellow christians out there, hope that when you face trials and tough times, when your future is not clear, when you doubt God, Romans 8 can really encourage you. Amen.

Why me God?

Why me God? Why me? I have been down with some skin problems. Some kind of ezcema and pretty serious. Actually it has already been with me for quite some time, but things get out of control recently. Skin are dry and peeling, I can't face people coz of that, I look so hideous, like a monster. Cant sleep at night, due to the itchness. Cant do the things that I usually do, cant eat the things that I usually eat. I cant be myself with this problem with me. Seen a chinese physician yesterday, she said that this problem cant be totally cured. The best that can be done is to control it, and I have to change my whole lifestyle to make sure when everything is under control, the problem will not flare up again.

This morning I cried out to God: "Father, why me? Why do I have to suffer all these when others can enjoy their life?" I know that sufferings now, are just temporary, everything will be perfect in heaven. But the sufferings for me is too much for me to handle. Pray that God will provide me with the strength and courage to continue living as a Christian and my daily walk with Him. Don't know why, suddenly the song "Trust His Heart" keeps singing in my head. When you cant see his plan, just trust His heart. I do know that this is what I have to do, pray that I will not lose faith in Him, though everything is so wrong now. Keep trusting in Him. Pray for healing hands upon me, for speedy recovery, and that I will not be so depressed over my current situation. That I will continue to draw strength from Him. Amen

What is love?

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease, where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child. I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

1 Corinthians 13:4-13

Love is the greatest first fruit of the Spirit. God is love. God is full of love. God is always showering is overflowing love on us. It is His love for us, that he sent his Son, Jesus, to die for us. So that by His death, we can be reconciled with Him. God will never forsake us, no matter what what wrong we do to Him. For our lifes no longer belong to us, it belongs to God. God had paid for our life with the death of Jesus. Love Him for He has love us first. Love your neighbour like how you love yourself. From the bible verses above, may all of us be always reminded of God's love for us. And also how we should treat each other in response to God's love. Always trust and never doubt Him, for He love us more than anyone else. No matter what situation he puts me in, how sick I am, how difficult times can be, how lonely I am, I know that God is always there watching over me. When God do not answer my prayers, I should not doubt Him, for He knows what is best for me. I believe that by His grace and mercy, even if he do not heal me from my sickness, He will still provide me with the strength and courage to carry on. What else can I ask for? He had already paid the penalty of sin for me. Life on earth is just temporary, just like all the sufferings I am facing now. Thank you God for saving me, adopting me, giving me a new life. Giving me a place in your heavenly kingdom. By all these things you had done for me, I can see your love for me and I love you God. Amen

2 ways to live: the choice we all face

God is the loving ruler of the world and he made the world. He made us rulers of the world under Him. But is that the way it is now? No! We all reject God, by trying to run life our own way without Him. We believe that we are better ruler than God, that we can live without Him. But we fail to rule ourselves or society or the world. So what will God do about our rebellion? God won't let us rebel forever. God's punishment of rebellion is death and judgement. God's justice sounds hard, but.. cos of His love for us, God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, into the world. Jesus is a perfect and holy man who always lived under God's rule. He was the One, sent down to die, in our place taking our punishment and brought us forgiveness. But that's not all. On the 3rd day, God raised Jesus to life again, as the ruler of the world. Jesus has conquered death, and now gives new life, and will return to judge.

This brings us to 2 different scenarios. The first one is to continue to rebel against God, to run life our own way. But this will only result in death and judgement. The other alternative is to submit our lifes to Jesus, acknowledging Him as ruler of our lifes. Relying of His death and resurrection. This will bring us forgiveness from God and eternal life. Comparing the 2 choices, isn't the 2nd choice, so obviously the better choice. So be smart and make the right choice NOW!

Don't "Kay Kiang" (Act Smart)

In the book of Ruth, we saw how self-centered Naomi and Elimelech were. That when there was a famine on Israel, they left the land of God's blessing, to look for food. A place they went to, where people live ungodly lifes. It shows us how they did not trust in God, that God will provide and rescue them. They chose to take things to their own hands. They think that they can handle the problem and they do not need God's help. They want things their way. In the end, Naomi lost her husband and 2 sons. This teaches us that we should always trust God, commit all our cause to Him. Believe that God will provide us with our needs, according to His will.

In the 2nd part of Ruth, we saw God's unexpected kindness showering on Naomi and Ruth through the kindness of Boaz. How Boaz allow Ruth to work in his field, his kindness towards her and his protection over her. And as time goes by, love for Ruth starts to nurture. This shows us that no matter what wrong we do, God so love us, will never forsake us. In response, may we all live a life that trust and obey God. Never take things into our hands, just leave everything to Him.

Felt so sick this morning. At first I didnt wanna go church, but in the end I took a cab down. Was wearing a windbreaker, and everyone was asking how am I? Am i sick? LOL. Decided to give lunch a miss as I was too tired. Got a lift from Lena.. (so nice of her). Ok, got to stop here now. Need to have a nap and rest well, getting prepared for the BIG MATCH tonight. ITS LIVERPOOL VS manchester united. LOL. WALK ON!! WALK ON!! WITH HOPES!! IN YOUR ARMS!! AND YOU"LL NEVER WALK ALONE!!

Give Thanks..

It has been raining the whole day. The never dying rain must have brought incovenience to many people, haha cos I am one of them. Left my bicycle at church as I cant cycle home due to the rain. Woke up at 630 this morning, but due to late rest and nice cool weather, i fell back to sleep. By the time I woke up again, its already 900. Got to take a cab down to church. At church, during service, I'm suppose to play drums today. Make so much mistake during the service. Was not at my best. Felt quite sad and guilty. But I know that God will not really care bout the mistakes I made for during the playing of the music.

We human always pray when we are in trouble, when we are in need of something, maybe for guidance, for wisdom, for courage. Or even if we ask got for some worldly things. We tend to pray and just continue with our lifes even when our prayers are answered, when God feels that we should get what we prayed and asked for. This is also a problem which happens to me. But in response to Gods love and kindness to us, we should not forget to also give thanks and be greatful for what God has given us. Some will ask, what if our prayers are not answered? Even if our prayers are not answered, God has His reasons for why its not answered. Maybe He feels that its better for us not to get what we prayed for, as we might have prayed and asked for the wrong thing. So we should also be careful in what we pray for. A another reason why its not answered might be because its not time yet. God takes His time to do His work. What is not answered now, might be answered in the future, we will never know. No matter what, we still must give thanks.

A good example is how Abraham waited for God's promise to be fulfilled. Even when the surroundings and other circumstances seems so impossible for the promise to be fulfilled, as Abraham's wife is barren and he himself is too old to have a son. He continued to have faith in God, and did not doubt God. This is how we should respond to God. Even if our prayers are not answered at all. We should also give thanks, for what God had already done for us. For He had sent down his one and only Son to die for us on the cross, while we were still sinners and His enemies. Give thanks for loving us and saving us from His wrath and judgement. In everything, give thanks..... Amen

Oh My Goodness....

My 7th day of January 06 began at 11am.. Went to meet the FOMs at Kovan for brunch then after that went to church for prayer meeting. The meeting was long, but had many things sorted out and confirmed. Almost killed one of my fellow worker in Christ. Wai was asking us what's the most common word that we see in Ruth 1: 1-22, the word's suppose to be "return" as Naomi keeps asking Ruth and Orpah to return to their own houses. But I dun seems to notice the word return, all I can see, is the name Naomi, so I say it out and Wai almost get choked while drinking water. LOL. He even spat out the water on the floor.

Today we started on the book of Ruth for our bible study. Its a short book with just 4 chapters. But the things we can learn from it are plenty. Learnt that sometimes when life's turning bitter, when things around us are not what we expected, we shouldn't think that God has not shown his kindness to us. In fact, we should be thankful to God, as he had already shown us his hesed (kindness in hebrew) by sending his one and only Son down to this earth, to die for us, to take our place in facing God's wrath and judgement. From Ruth, I was also reminded that God has control of all events. He is before all things and everything happens for a reason. He has the ability to do everything. And He is always working in our everyday life. Praise God for that..

Today's bs is rather long, ended at 1830 hrs. Went over to Helping Hand to play frisbee after bs. Was very encouraged by the attendance today. Edwin, Pix, Dot, Salad, Drew, Wai and Ray turned up!! Hope that more people can join us, as I believe fellowship is not just during bs, should also have some informal outdoor activities. Feel so sad as I was ditched by the "Crappy 3" (haha!! me, wai and ray). 3 of us are supposed to be in a team after loom jiam pass. But in the end they send me over to the other team. Maybe cos I'm the lousiest of the 3. Then the 2 good players are together, and not just that, they have an extra player. So the game was 4 vs 5. Unfair right! haha but WE WON IN THE END!! I also won Amos in a 1 on 1 basketball game. haha. He was so tired after the frisbee game, that he is so lazy to run. Beat him 5 - 1!! What a long and tiring day it was. But had alot of fun and fellowship though, everything is worth it! Ok, got to go ZzZzZ as I have to be in church early tmr. I"M PLAYING DRUMS!! haha.. Chaos..

What Christmas Is?

During the American Civil War, it was a custom for every home to hang a big star outside the window, when a soldier-son died at battle.

A little child was out walking with his grandfather one evening. He was curious when he saw such a star.

“Grandpa,” he asked, “why is there a star hanging outside that window?”

“O that,” replied Grandpa. “That means that family has given a son for our country in the war. He died that we may be free.”

They walked silently for a while, the little boy thinking deeply to himself. Suddenly he burst out,

“Grandpa, look! Look!” Pointing to the sky, he shouted, “A big shining star in the sky! GOD MUST HAVE GIVEN HIS SON FOR US!”

Grandpa smiled and nodded his head thoughtfully, “Yes, indeed He has!”

YES, INDEED! GOD DID GIVE US HIS SON. THAT’S WHY THERE IS A CHRISTMAS. LOVE CAME DOWN AT CHRISTMAS IN THE PERSON OF JESUS.

The Lord Jesus Christ, God’s Son, was born on Christmas Day to become the Saviour of the world:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in

Him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

That’s why Christmas is such a happy occasion. Love always brings joy, peace and happiness. Christmas is meant to be God’s blessing to us.

1. Christmas Means Love

Love is the air we breathe at Christmas time. Christmas reminds us that the holy God loves sinners, and wishes to forgive us all our sins. That’s why He sent His Son Jesus to be our Saviour. Christ came all the way down from heaven to earth to show us how much God loves us:

“ God proves His love towards us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

(Romans 5:8)

2. Christmas Means Hope

Christ came to die on the Cross for our sins so that we may “not perish”. That means we will not be judged for our sins and be subsequently punished in hell. This is grace, which we received because the Lord Jesus died to forgive us. In other words, we may be saved from our sins when we repent and believe in Jesus as our Lord and Saviour.

3. Christmas Means Life

The promise is that when we believe in Jesus, we will “have eternal life” (John 3:16). Eternal life is first of all “quality life”. It is divine life. God is eternal and the life He grants us is “eternal life”. This is in contrast to our miserable “human life”, which is sinful, full of misery and unhappiness.

Eternal Life also means being able to live forever with God in Heaven one day. But right here

and now, it means that we can have a relationship with God and enjoying His fellowship. This brings meaning in life, joy and peace, because God is always with us.

Dear Reader, let this Christmas be special to you. Let L-O-V-E come into your heart and life. Invite the Lord Jesus to be the Saviour of your life by repenting of your sins and receiving Him as your Lord and Saviour.

You could pray a prayer of faith, something like this:

“Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for coming into the world that first Christmas Day to be my Saviour. I believe You are the Son of God and died for my sins on the Cross. Please forgive me all my sins. I accept You by faith into my life as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You, Lord Jesus for saving me. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.”

Dr K. B. Tan

‘All this took place to fulfill what the Lord has said through the prophet: “The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” – which means, “God with us.” ’

(Matthew 1:22-23)

I survived!!

Just had the youth evangelistic chalet last weekend. Had tonnes of fun and laughters. The attendance was good, about 30 of them turn up. Was quite a hectic week, got to check out on early sunday morning to rush to church, then from church we went to the prison for our caroling. After caroling, we had prata near lower pierce reservoir. After which we went to upper pierce reservoir and had a stroll there. The whole day was full of activities. But Thank God that everything went well. Thank God that I had the chance to talk to Aunty Dolly, whom i met at the chalet. Got a chance to understand her current situation and invited her to our church.

Had a meaningful and interesting talk by Mr Y during this morning's sermon. He talked bout the real basic needs that we need. When we commited a sin or did something bad against someone. We will always seek forgiveness from the someone. But the real forgiveness we need, is God's forgiveness. Every sin we've commited, every wrong we've done, we sin it against God.
God sent down his Son, to rescue us from sin. In response to God's mercy showered on us, may all of us live a life of obedience and faith..

In todays days and time, it's easy to lose sight of the true meaning of Christmas. In todays time, people see Christmas as Santa Claus, a jolly fat old man with a white beard and a red suit, who brings gifts to good children on Christmas Eve, about snow, about turkey. The real and true meaning of Christmas is about one special night. One special night, when God sent his Son down to earth. One special night when our savior was born, to rescue us from sins, God's wrath and judgement. One special night..... Matthew 1:18-25

I'm BACK!!

Ok! It's been a while since I have the time to blog. Took leave for today and tomorrow, really need a good time to rest. Haven't been sleeping much the past 2 days, cos I can't miss out my champions league actions. Happy for my Liverpool and Arsenal to go through the 1st qualifying stage. But poor Man U, kick of out Champions League and also no chance for Uefa Cup. What a sad story, first time in 10 yrs they are not in the last 16. A way to console themselves, ppl are saying now they can concentrate better on the league and domestically.

Finally! Many things to look forward to. 2006 is getting nearer. Christmas is getting nearer. Youth evangelistic chalet and prison carolling is also getting nearer. Spent quite alot of shopping recently, shopped for clothes and stuffs. Thought of getting a notebook also. haha $$$$$$

Well, I'm not a guy who enjoying reading. But surprisingly I have just finished read a book given to me for bdae. The title of the book is "A Fresh Start", by John Chapman, a Australian pastor. Find this part of the book pretty interesting and would like to share it with all. In this part of the book, the writer talks about "Will God have us back?" It begins with this story:

2 boys ran away from home. One was 10 years old and the other only 7. They had had a disagreement with their father and they decided to run away. They hid in a cave near a river at the back of their hoome and stayed there until it grew dark. They then decided to go back home, having taught their father a big enough lesson. When he saw them coming around the corner of the house, the father swept them in his arms and said, "Hello, you 2. Great to have you back home again. I thought you'd left, but I'm so glad you haven't. Come and have some tea."

The question is: suppose we do come back to God and truly repent. We confess that we have rebelled against him and we declare our intention to try to live under Jesus' Lordship. Will God forgive us? Will He have us back? God answer is: "Because my Son, Jesus Christ, has died for you, I wil forgive you and take you back as a true friend. (John 1: 7,9, Romans 5: 1,2) Both repentance and faith are gifts which come from God. The life and work of Jesus is so completely acceptable to God, you and I can be completely acceptable also. It is as if when we turned to the Lord Jesus in repentance and faith, we were given 2 certificates. On the first one it reads: "This is to certify that the bearer has lived a perfect life". On the other it says: " This is to certify that the bearer has paid the full penalty of all sins". Isn't it such a good news that through Jesus' work on earth, all of us can be sinless and holy before God, to be reconciled with God. So in response, I urge all believers to obey God and live a life of obedience and faith. Stop sinning and repent. Amen.
