It has been raining the whole day. The never dying rain must have brought incovenience to many people, haha cos I am one of them. Left my bicycle at church as I cant cycle home due to the rain. Woke up at 630 this morning, but due to late rest and nice cool weather, i fell back to sleep. By the time I woke up again, its already 900. Got to take a cab down to church. At church, during service, I'm suppose to play drums today. Make so much mistake during the service. Was not at my best. Felt quite sad and guilty. But I know that God will not really care bout the mistakes I made for during the playing of the music.
We human always pray when we are in trouble, when we are in need of something, maybe for guidance, for wisdom, for courage. Or even if we ask got for some worldly things. We tend to pray and just continue with our lifes even when our prayers are answered, when God feels that we should get what we prayed and asked for. This is also a problem which happens to me. But in response to Gods love and kindness to us, we should not forget to also give thanks and be greatful for what God has given us. Some will ask, what if our prayers are not answered? Even if our prayers are not answered, God has His reasons for why its not answered. Maybe He feels that its better for us not to get what we prayed for, as we might have prayed and asked for the wrong thing. So we should also be careful in what we pray for. A another reason why its not answered might be because its not time yet. God takes His time to do His work. What is not answered now, might be answered in the future, we will never know. No matter what, we still must give thanks.
A good example is how Abraham waited for God's promise to be fulfilled. Even when the surroundings and other circumstances seems so impossible for the promise to be fulfilled, as Abraham's wife is barren and he himself is too old to have a son. He continued to have faith in God, and did not doubt God. This is how we should respond to God. Even if our prayers are not answered at all. We should also give thanks, for what God had already done for us. For He had sent down his one and only Son to die for us on the cross, while we were still sinners and His enemies. Give thanks for loving us and saving us from His wrath and judgement. In everything, give thanks..... Amen
